Always wanted to know what Cricket was , but didnt have anyone to ask? Well here is a 4 minute overview of the sport.

@dabbuji1 So golf, not a hard sport to learn? the conclusion you draw is hard to backup with fact.
FACT: the reason Cricket is not the #1 team sport worldwide ( it is #2 though) is due to the fact that the British commonwealth countries wouldn’t let anyone else into the elite levels to play until 1965.

The main reson why cricket is not big in USA and many more countries is becasue it is one of the hardest sports to learn. You have to start at an early age to properly learn cricket. It may not be the most tiresome game as compared to soccer or basket ball, but you need a lot of skill and talent to play this sport.

You are mistaken my friend. If the ball hits the bat and THAN the catcher (wicket-keeper) catches it, than it is considered out. If the batter missed the ball, than there is no such thing as STRIKE 1 etc.

So it’s basically one base baseball, but what the hell are the wickets even there for?! Batter could just be out if he swings and misses like in baseball with the catcher behind him getting the ball.

@aussiefox Thanks for the good words about baseball. I think there are similarities between both games, and differences as well. Cricket looks like lots of fun, and I like the freedom in hitting.

Now, if he said “I bet most people agree that baseball is the most boring sport in the world,” then you would have a right to disagree. That’s like yelling at someone for saying they prefer italian salad dressing over ranch. It’s not your choice what they think or prefer. How about YOU think about other people’s opinions before mindlessly assaulting someone’s opinions.

he said baseball is the most boring sport in the world, and i’m the one thrashing? just because he doesn’t understand baseball doesn’t mean it’s the most boring sport in the world. that is not a fact and it’s far from wide acceptance. so it was a moronic thing to say. so i can bash it if i choose to. so you sir better think things over before sticking your nose in other people’s business.
